Our Founder
Anthony J. Doe
Anthony J. Doe, graduated York University as an aspiring criminal defence attorney, with a double-major in Law & Psychology. He then went on to work for the Province for 7 years.
Due to an administrative error, in the form of incorrect procedural advice he was provided by a court officer, regarding a family legal matter, Anthony was barred from speaking to his ex-wife, his mother-in-law and the principal of his 5 year-old son's school.
Anthony tried vigorously every day to prove that he still had his natural parental right of access to his son. It took him 10 months to finally persuade the courts to send the original orders he required by email.
Once he received them, he called the last phone number he had for his son, which was his ex-wife's phone line, only asking to speak with his son.
This conversation erupted into an argument between he and his ex. To try to at least explain his story and the legal gravity of the situation, he reached out to his mother-in-law, which resulted in another argument and terminated call.
In efforts to reason with the school staff, he called to speak with an administrator, to which the school secretary forwarded his call directly to the Principal's office, where he left a voicemail.
His actions resulted in 3 counts of Fail to Comply to which he served 78 days. He was then re-incarcerated on the day of his release due to him not appearing in court because he was in jail, to which he served another 3 days.
While he was incarcerated, he was able to use his criminological, psychological, and political knowledge to observe and devise innovative strategies that would help heal all men who have been in conflict with the law and at the same time, work alongside government and agency partners to help people who want to help themselves.
